The Millennium Development Goals
In the year 2000, at the United Nations Millennium Summit, 191 countries committed themselves to end poverty, to guarantee human rights and to improve living conditions for all humankind. The eight Millennium Development Goals, which were to be reached in 15 years, were born from this commitment. Four of them refer directly to people's health.
