Goals >> More and better cooperation
Hereinafter, we will list the recommendations we think our administrations, governments in the South, international organizations, the private sector and Development NGOs should adopt in order to attain the Millennium Development Goals.

Spanish Government

· Satisfy the international commitment to dedicate 0.7% of the Gross National Product to Official Development Assistance (ODA).
· Reduce the weight of Fund Development Assistance (FAD) credits, which compel developing countries to buy goods and services from Spanish enterprises, in order to return the loaned money.
· Reinforce control and evaluation of the Spanish aid system, especially FAD credits and manage Spanish aid through the Spanish International Cooperation Agency (AECI) in order to avoid fragmented financing.
· Strengthen the role of the development cooperation coordinating office in the different autonomous communities.
· Align Development Aid, Finances and Trade policies with the recommendations of each Millennium Development Goal group.
· Increase Health Aid from 7.2% to the 21-23% necessary to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, especially in maternal and child health and reproductive health within primary healthcare.
· Put pressure on international financial institutions so that they incorporate the Millennium Development Goals to their action plans to reduce poverty and promote the immediate cancellation of foreign debt for all countries.

Catalan Government
· Satisfy the commitment to reach 0.7% for Development Aid by the end of the legislature.
· Centralize the management of cooperation and international solidarity resources through the Catalan Development Cooperation Agency (ACCD).
· Harmonize the ACCD Master Plan with the recommendations from the Millennium Development Goals' work groups, giving priority to the least developed countries.

Development NGOs

· Dedicate more funds to development and awareness campaigns and less to humanitarian action in order to follow the ACCD Master Plan.

Governments in the South

· Manage adequately the data obtained in health centers, in order to establish priority needs, goals and actions that should be undertaken in the health field.
· Encourage local health workers, who know their countries' problems, and promote their intervention in rural areas, where their task is essential.

International organizations

· Look after the interests of developing countries, especially in the field of access to drugs, and fulfill the goals they have committed themselves to.
